Recently, the Changchun Factory Planning Balance Supply Group issued a production warning: "Two right-mounted front axle orders for Qingdao Auto export vehicles are to be trial-assembled and delivered within 12 days as required!" Faced with the order delivery warning signal, Xia Weidong, deputy general manager of the business unit and director and party secretary of Changchun Factory, said: "We must do everything we can to complete the right-mounted axle order for Qingdao Auto export vehicles on time with guaranteed quality and quantity."

The core component, the right-mounted steering upper arm, is a new design part that requires a new mold. However, the component is still in the process of the procurement department building a route, and the supplier has not yet opened the mold. The Transmission Development Department of the Powertrain Product Development Department took immediate action, organized 3 designers to study solutions, and quickly developed two sets of solutions. After research with the Qingdao Auto R&D Department, it was decided to adopt the second set of solutions - looking for resources outside the system.

The Transmission Development Department of the Powertrain Product Development Department immediately sorted out and looked for available resources. In this process, the Strategy and MKT Department, the Quality Assurance Office of the Changchun Factory, the Qingdao Service Department and the Jiefang Procurement Department intervened simultaneously and took the lead. That afternoon, the designers of the Transmission Development Department compared the product parameters of suppliers with such resources one by one and finally determined that the right-mounted mold resources were available after evaluation and review by the design team. That night, the relevant personnel discussed in detail the reproduction of blanks, product processing and quality inspection, and formulated an implementation plan to deliver finished products within a week. In order to speed up the delivery of orders, the Changchun factory prepared assembly resources and personnel in advance while communicating closely with suppliers about the production process. When the right-mounted steering upper arm passed the inspection, the staff did not delay at all despite the weekend and immediately sent it to the assembly line. The production workshop was always on standby, quickly invested in the assembly work and finally completed the production task of the right-mounted front axle with high quality and efficiency.

Finally, with the concerted efforts of multiple departments and suppliers, the Changchun factory successfully overcame difficulties such as a short production cycle and resource barriers within and outside the system and completed the production of the right-hand steering upper arm in just 9 days, which originally required a production preparation cycle of more than 45 days. It timely guaranteed Qingdao Automobile's export loading needs and fulfilled the solemn promise that "Qingdao orders must be guaranteed and not a single order can be lost."
